Post-Summer Excitement

It looks like the summer is over, but things are not all bad! We are back from our holidays, fully motivated and re-charged.

We’re getting busy preparing for some exciting things to come these next few months. Regular blog posts are included – so keep your eyes peeled! 

We are adding the finishing touches to our debut album ‘The Honeyfire’, which is to be released on the 11th December. A launch event is being held at The Louisiana in Bristol on that night. We are struggling to contain our excitement! Tickets and pre-orders of the album are available on our Bandcamp page.

In other news, we’re currently working on a musical project involving Greek mythology. We’re having fun writing and getting ready to record next month. More details to come soon!

THE FLUX On The Radio

In our previous post we mentioned our next show is on the 12th September playing at THE FLUX Presents Acoustic Showcase at The Louisiana, Bristol. 

Well the good people at THE FLUX webzine who are putting on this show are going to be on the Jelli Records Bristol Music show on BCfm on Monday 18th August to talk about their webzine, their re-banding and the show on the 12th September at The Louisiana, Bristol.

The show starts at 8pm and you can listen in live on BCfm's website or using the listen again feature afterwards.

Plus anyone who comes to The Louisiana show also gets FREE entry to Bristol Live Magazine September Issue Party over at Start The Bus after our show featuring music from Liberto Wolf and BLM Djs till late - just show your stamps at the door once you arrive at Start The Bus. So two great shows for the price of one!

Album Update, Balloon Fiesta & Our Next Show

Firstly, we would like to say a massive thank you to everyone who has pre-ordered the album and
bought an e-ticket to our launch on 11th December. We have been a bit overwhelmed to be honest. Your support and generosity really means a lot to us!

We also really appreciate all the lovely comments we've received about our name change. It's really great that you like 'The Honeyfire' as much as we do.

The Honeyfire and Bashema at the Balloon Fiesta

On Saturday we played at the wonderful Bristol International Balloon Fiesta which was Anja's first time at the Fiesta. It was also our last festival this year. It was nice seeing some of you there, although you
were rather shy so next time please do come over and have a chat. Thank you to Bashema from Meet Your Feet who joined us on piano for a few songs and for Jelli Records for running the stage. After playing we stayed and enjoyed sets from Darren Hodge, Brockley Forest and Meet Your Feet.


We're now all on holiday which is nice but a bit sad to be apart. We'll be back in two weeks fully recharged and ready to work on an exciting new collaboration project involving Greek mythology the underworld and a trip to a London recording studio! We'll post more on that soon.

Really excited for our next show which has just been announced in basement of The Louisiana in Bristol for THE FLUX Presents playing alongside Ellie Makes Music and Demi Louise Music on Friday 12th September. This will be a stripped back acoustic (ish!) set from us which will be fun. Checkout the Facebook event for more information. Entry is £5 on the door. Doors open 7.30pm.

Announcement - Debut Album & New Band Name

We are very excited to announce that we are changing our name. As of today Wolfhound will be known as The Honeyfire.

We feel a very different band to the original Wolfhound duo. We underwent a big change when we became a trio and our music as changed as a result. We wanted a name that matched our new identity.

We thought long and hard about who we are and The Honeyfire just felt right as the name that describes us and our music.

We now have a new website so please do have a look. There will be a period of transition as all our social media pages catch up, so please bear with us. We hope you like the new name and look.

We are also very proud to announce that our debut album, The Honeyfire will be released on 11th December.

The Honeyfire Album

The Honeyfire is a ten track album recorded in April this year with Jim Barr (Portishead and Get The Blessing) at J & J Studio in Bristol. The album is now available to pre-order as a CD or download.

Pre-ordering the album will help us enormously with the upfront manufacturing costs and as a little thank you for supporting us, everyone who pre-orders the album before 15th October will have their name printed on the CD sleeve notes. In addition, pre-orders will receive two exclusive bonus track downloads.

There will be a launch party at The Louisiana in Bristol on Thursday 11th December and we’re looking forward to meeting many of you there. Tickets are now available from our Bandcamp store and can also be purchased while pre-ordering the album CD for a special discount.
