Live on BBC Radio Bristol and Next Bristol Show

Today we were invited to play a live session for the lovely Livvy and Chrissie on BBC Radio Bristol. We played an acoustic version of a song off our debut album which you can listen again to here.

We were able to talk about our next Bristol show which is on 23rd March at Mr Wolfs. You can grab tickets from the Bristol Ticket Shop from Monday and you can also pay on the night. We're so looking forward to seeing you all.

We've been cracking on with lots of creative ideas lately and we can't wait to finish so we can show you. You can keep an eye on our Facebook, Twitter and Instagram to see what we've been up to.

Second Radio Show

Last Monday we presented our second themed show on Pirate Nation Radio and this month's theme was 'Animals'. We had a few technical difficulties part way through when the program froze, but managed to sort it after phoning another presenter.

We played music from Wye Oak, Wild Beasts, Worry Dolls, Emiliana Torrini, Marika Hackman, Foxtails Brigade, Linked Horizon, Stealing Sheep, Gorillaz and The Shoe.

Watch a clip of last night's show!

Last night we had the amazing experience of playing online via Concert Window. Thank you so much to everyone who tuned in and watched our set. We spent most of the day rearranging the room and soundchecking, and although it wasn't perfect by a long shot, we feel much more comfortable about doing more.

This is what our living room looked like last night - purple haze, fairy lights and too many guitars!

If you fancy, you can watch a clip of our show last night. This song is called 'My Life' and it's our first and (probably) only protest song (featuring a rogue autoharp strap).

We played music from Radiohead, The Staves, The Unthanks, Larkin Poe, Kings Of Leon, The Cadbury Sisters, Suzanne Vega, The Bluetones, First Aid Kit, Charan-Po-Rantan, Joseph and The Kinks.

Thank you so much to everyone who tuned in - it means so much to us. You can listen again to last weeks show below.

London

Yesterday we took a trip to London to see our Nan's MA graduation. She has studied for eight years at the Open University which, for those who don't know, is a part time, self study university.

We now feel very inspired as we're both currently studying at the Open University alongside our music.

We documented our tube journey in photos.

Gillett Guitars

A couple of weeks ago we filmed an acoustic version of 'In The Sunshine' using a bass by Gillett Guitars.

Natalie was given the opportunity to have a beautiful customised acoustic bass handmade for her a few months ago, and we just got round to filming something with it.

You can find out more about the company here: http://www.gillettguitars.co.uk/

Glastonbury FM and Bocabar

We had a great night last night (Thursday 27th November) in lovely Glastonbury.

Our evening kicked off on Glastonbury FM. We chatted to Ian Liversidge about our upcoming album and launch, what we've been up to and just the general, and often strange, things that happen in our lives. We played three live acoustic songs too, which we always find enjoyable.

After we had finished on Glastonbury FM, we headed over to the Bocabar for the Thursday Live After Show Party. Being in the same building as GFM, our shoulders were thanking us for the small distance we had to carry our gear.
After a sound check mostly spent fixing a feedback problem, we had a genuinely great time playing through our set. The audience were so appreciative and listened quietly to our set. It meant a lot to us and made us enjoy the night a whole lot more.

We loved watching Missart play after us as the headline act. They were fantastic and so welcoming too. We hope to see them play again soon.

Just a quick reminder that we’re playing an acoustic set at CICCIC in Taunton on Saturday the 29th November. Headlining will be Darren Hodge, a fellow Jelli Records artist.

The Honeyfire Album Launch 11/12/14

As you may know, we are launching our debut album 'The Honeyfire' on the 11th December at The Louisiana in Bristol. To those of you who have heard us talking about it enough, we apologise, but we're just so excited it's coming up so soon!!

Having been working on this album for over a year now, we've had some time to plan a few special things to happen on the launch. We're determined to make this our best show so far, and to really celebrate the 'birth' of The Honeyfire.

We are so pleased to have the brilliant, talented and kind Dear Light support us for the evening. He creates a lovely, intimate sound and is definitely not one to miss. These last few weeks we have been working with Dear Light, planning some collaboration for the launch. We will be playing as his band on a few of his songs, and he will be adding piano, bass and drums on a few of ours. Our last rehearsal was great fun and the added instruments to our songs really helped re-create the full album sound. Not to mention we loved playing his songs - there's just something special about playing music with friends.

Another new and exciting thing we'll be doing is a projection show. We've been putting together embarrassing clips of us just being us, clips from our music videos and footage of us playing. So make sure you get your ticket if you want to catch us doing any embarrassing dancing that should never have been caught on camera!

As well as collaborating with Dear Light, we might be inviting other friends and some of you onto the stage to make the night extra special.

We won't give away any more for now, but it would mean the world to us to see as many of you there as possible. We truly can't wait to show you what we've been working so hard for.

We've just noticed we're one of the Bristol Ticket Shop's recommended shows too!

Tickets are £4 and can be pre-ordered from our Bandcamp page or Bristol Ticket Shop.

Sally, Anja and Natalie xx

It is officially just ONE MONTH until The Honeyfire Album Launch!

We’re not quite sure where the time has gone either, but we’re practically jumping out of our seats at the thought. This album has been our main focus for over a year now, and we've put so much work into it. We can’t wait to both show the world our hard work, and have a great time by playing our music and seeing the fantastic Dear Light perform. We’re even going to be doing some never-seen-before collaboration! There might be some extra performers involved too…

If you would like to support us and come along to our most important event to date, please do buy a ticket and leave the rest to us! We've been planning how to make this event one of a kind, and as they say – the more the merrier!

Announcement - Debut Album & New Band Name

We are very excited to announce that we are changing our name. As of today Wolfhound will be known as The Honeyfire.

We feel a very different band to the original Wolfhound duo. We underwent a big change when we became a trio and our music as changed as a result. We wanted a name that matched our new identity.

We thought long and hard about who we are and The Honeyfire just felt right as the name that describes us and our music.

We now have a new website so please do have a look. There will be a period of transition as all our social media pages catch up, so please bear with us. We hope you like the new name and look.

We are also very proud to announce that our debut album, The Honeyfire will be released on 11th December.

The Honeyfire Album

The Honeyfire is a ten track album recorded in April this year with Jim Barr (Portishead and Get The Blessing) at J & J Studio in Bristol. The album is now available to pre-order as a CD or download.

Pre-ordering the album will help us enormously with the upfront manufacturing costs and as a little thank you for supporting us, everyone who pre-orders the album before 15th October will have their name printed on the CD sleeve notes. In addition, pre-orders will receive two exclusive bonus track downloads.

There will be a launch party at The Louisiana in Bristol on Thursday 11th December and we’re looking forward to meeting many of you there. Tickets are now available from our Bandcamp store and can also be purchased while pre-ordering the album CD for a special discount.

Full details of the launch event and line-up will be announced soon.
